Today we want to recommend you our top list of golf resorts in the country. Great service, amazing golf courses and beautiful scenery. Not neccesarily the unique accommodation for an outstanding golf itinerary or the best golf courses, but if what you are looking a just one stop all-in-one, or your are looking for short golf break, these options could be perfect for you.
Finca Cortesin: It´s ranked top 5 in the country by Golf World Magazine. The unique Resort is located in one of the most tranquil and sought-after enclaves of the Andalucia coast, less than a mile from the beach. The resort’s privileged location means that Marbella, the capital of the Costa del Sol, as well as Puerto Banús and Sotogrande, are just a short drive away. And, to make things even easier, the journey time to Malaga airport is just 50 minutes, whilst Gibraltar can be reached in just 15 minutes.
PGA Catalunya Resort: is home to 36 really good holes, which form two great courses: the Stadium Course and Tour Course. Both are rated high by golfers, but the Stadium Course is the absolute favorite, but also more demanding. The golf resort is situated close to Girona airport and not too far from Barcelona and the coast. The totally refurbished Camiral Hotel is great and is located on the golf course.
Real Club de Golf de El Prat: designed by Greg Norman, is also located close to Barcelona (just a 30 minute drive) adjacent to the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac Natural Park. El Prat has 45 holes (5 different loops of 9 holes). The Pink Course (Rosa) is the highest rated course by golfers. There is now a very nice hotel located on the course, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Center La Mola.
Abama Golf & Spa Resort: is a complex of 150 hectares, located in Tenerife. The resort offers five-star hotel, thermal water circuit and pools, an exclusive beach, restaurants, tennis club, theme bars and a golf course, designed by Dave Thomas, with views of the Atlantic Ocean and the island of La Gomera , between 20,000 palm trees, 300 species of subtropical plants and 22 lakes, which make the game a unique experience, with 365 days of golf per year and an average annual temperature of 23 degrees.
The San Roque Club: offers all the facilities you’d expect from such a golf resort on the Costa del Sol. The two contrasting golf courses (Old & New Course) are as challenging as they are beautiful. According to golfers, the golf courses are pretty similar in quality. The San Roque Suites are a great place to stay and offer 2-bedroom bungalows suitable for up to 5 adults. There are four different restaurants serving an array of high-class cuisine from Japanese to Spanish tapas.
